April 30, 2025: I'm still motoring on with An Ambush of Tigers, though at the moment, I'm a little overwhelmed because I decided to run for a seat on my town's City Council. The election is May 13th, and because I didn't make my decision to DO THIS until close to the filing deadline, I'm in a bit of a rush to catch up and get all my canvassing (and other tasks) done. After the election, though, things will settle into a new rhythm, and I will be better able to carve out time for the writing piece of my life! So stay tuned... (and if you haven't read The Ivory Mask, yet, go ahead and do that. Sales and positive reviews are HUGE motivators.)
The BIG NEWS, right now, is that The Ivory Mask is (finally!) available for purchase as an e-book! This has been in the works for a long (long, long, long, long!) time: like 16 years. Now, don't picture me tinkering with word order every single day, or anything (I don't really work that way, even when I'm doing a lot of writing); there was just...life stuff that got in the way. But the life stuff is (mostly) out of the way, now, and I'm finding more energy and mental space for creative endeavors. Yay!
For those of you STILL WAITING for An Ambush of Tigers (Bharaghlafi #3), do take heart. I'm 16 chapters in on the first draft, and it's going along at a good clip. I'm not committing myself to an end date -- and at this point, I don't know if this is the last book in the group, or whether they're going to all end up in a civil war that will take another couple books to work out. (That's kind of like the state of play in the US, at the moment, which is, when you come right down to it, a pretty scary parallel.)
